Toyota’s 2019 Avalon Hybrid is an upgraded and cheaper version of previous model years. The hybrid carries a 2.5L Atkinson engine combined with an electric motor with a system output of 215hp, an improvement on previous model years. The vehicle also is expected to attain 43 mpg combined for its EPA rating.
The biggest improvement to the Avalon Hybrid is the reconfiguration of its trunk space, according to Aaron Cole at Green Car Reports. Toyota moved the hybrid’s battery from the trunk to beneath the rear seats, allowing for the vehicle to have a more traditional storage space. Read more.
