Toyota to phase out diesel in Europe

Toyota has announced that beginning this year, it will start to remove diesel from its lineup of passenger car models in Europe. The move does not affect Toyota’s commercial vehicle offerings on the continent–diesel engines will still be available in the coming years.

The car company has seen a dramatic shift in its sales mix over the last ten years, with 2017’s hybrid sales representing 41% of Toyota’s total sales in Europe. Read more.
