Auto Guide has released a list of the top ten hybrids with all-wheel drive (AWD). In the top spot is the Toyota Prius AWD-e, which is also the cheapest model in the top ten. The vehicle was updated in 2019 and the AWD version carries an electric motor on the rear axle to give the AWD version “extra grip.”
The Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid comes in as the second-most fuel efficient vehicle in the top ten. Noah Joseph at Auto Guide writes, the “Subaru Crosstrek is essentially a jacked-up, rugged wagon version of the Impreza” and features Subaru’s “signature flat-four engine and all-wheel drive, but augmented with a pair of electric motors with plug-in capability.”
Other entrants in the top ten include the Volvo S60/S90 T8 eAWD, the BMW 530e xDrive iPerformance, and the Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD, among others. For the full list of top ten hybrids with AWD capability, read more.
