Hybrid sales up globally

Despite increased competition from plug-ins and electric cars that has hampered the U.S. sale of hybrids, the global market for hybrids is on the rise. Using global sales figures from Toyota, the worldwide leader in hybrids, HybridCars.com says Toyota reported a 17% increase in global hybrid sales during the first six months of 2016.
