Review: Prius Prime Makes Toyota a Legitimate Plug-in Hybrid Player recently reviewed the 2017 Prius Prime plug-in hybrid — and says that plug-in buyers should put it “high up on their shopping list.” After years of ambivalence about plug-in hybrids, this new offering will finally give Toyota “a legitimate plug-in hybrid” when it hits U.S. dealerships next month.

One complaint: the Prius Prime only has room for four passengers. “This has been, and still somewhat continues to be, an obstacle for the Chevy Volt, so it’s too bad that the Prime only has room for two in back,” the review says.
