Porsche’s new hybrid accelerates faster and has better fuel economy than its non-hybrid counterpart. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid offers an all-electric range of around 27 miles, but full fuel economy details are still to come. The hybrid contains a 335hp engine combined with an electric motor which pushes the total horsepower to 455, a modest gain on the non-hybrid Cayenne S which produces 420hp.
Much like Tesla, Porsche is set to roll out a cellphone app for owners to find charging locations and check state of charge, amongst other uses.
Porsche’s hybrid is priced at $80,950 with Sport Chrono package as standard. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is set to go on sale next year. Read more.
