Auto Express has confirmed that Porsche will release two hybrid versions of its 911 model in 2019. Both hybrid variants will be plug-ins, with the rumored battery expected to weigh-in at 550lbs. The more expensive hybrid variant will deliver 700hp generated by a twin-turbo version of Porsche’s traditional engine.
The less expensive hybrid version will have a 0-60 time of less than 4 seconds with an expected MPGe of 80 in Europe. Both of the new hybrids will have updated technology and additional features. The hybridized 911 is another push by the automaker into a more electrified future. Read more.
