The strong interest in Volvo’s XC90 plug-in hybrid has been strong enough to add plug-in hybrid options to two more Volvo models, according to HybridCars.com.
Sales of the XC90 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid sport-utility vehicle are more than double the company’s original expectations, spurring Volvo to announce it will add the plug-in powertrain to the S90 sedan and V90 wagons that share platforms with the XC90.
Volvo will eventually offer the XC90 as a battery electric vehicle.
