Mercedes unveils first plug-in hybrid at LA Auto Show

Mercedes unveiled its first plug-in hybrid — the 2015 S550 Plug-In Hybrid sedan — at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It will be available in the US in April 2015.

The plug-in hybrid is powered by a V6 twin-turbocharged engine that generates an estimated 436 hp. It can drive up to 20 miles on electric power.
