Hyundai’s Kona model is getting the hybrid treatment. The vehicle will launch with a hybrid powertrain in Europe this August. The hybrid will carry a 1.6L inline engine in combination with a 32kW motor, 1.56kWh battery and six-speed dual-clutch transmission, pushing the system to 139 horsepower.
Though a U.S. version of the Kona Hybrid has not yet been announced, Joel Stocksdale at Auto Blog notes that a U.S. launch is inevitable. Read more.
