HybridCars.com reports that the U.S. introduction of Mitsubishi’s Outlander Plug-In Hybrid continues to be delayed by battery supply limitations. Mitsubishi introduced the gasoline version of the Outlander in the U.S. in July.
Mitsubishi has said that 20% of its portfolio will consist of plug-in cars by 2020, and the Outlander PHEV is considered pivotal to the company’s plans. The company has already sold 11,300 Outlander Plug-In Hybrid vehicles in Japan and Europe. Read more.
