As Ford cuts ties with the majority of its sedan lineup, it is upgrading the battery size and electric range of its Energi PHEV for the 2019 model year. The upgrades are designed to make the Fusion Energi “more competitive” with plug-ins like the category leading Prius Prime from Toyota, according to Eric Evarts at Green Car Reports. Ford plans to build electrified versions of most of its vehicles by 2020. The 2019 Fusion Energi, however, will be available sometime this year. Read more.
