February 2018 Hybrid Car Sales Report

Hybridcars.com has released its February 2018 hybrid sales report, offering a slightly subdued update for hybrids but a positive report for EVs and PHEVs.

There were 8,344 BEVs sold in the U.S. in February. Sales of EVs increased year on year, with the Tesla Model 3 and Model X receiving a modest boost. The Chevrolet Bolt also saw an increase in sales off of last month.

There were 8,152 PHEVs sold in the U.S. in February. PHEVs have increased their year on year sales with the Prius Prime leading the pack, with the Chevy Volt also contributing to the sales increase.

There were 24,900 hybrids sold in the U.S. in February. Hybrids are down year on year and year to date as the various Prius models’ sales have begun to slow. Read more.
