Cadillac moving away from Diesel

Cadillac’s President Steve Carlisle recently divulged the automaker’s next move—and it’s away from diesel engines. He was quoted at a vehicle launch saying, “We have been working on diesel, but the markets may be changing more quickly than we anticipated… Going forward, we will focus on electrification.”

The move is one quickly becoming a trend in the auto industry, with VW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes removing diesel-based engines from their future lineups in the wake of the diesel-emissions scandal in Europe.
