Patents

Paice is responsible for developing many of the world’s most significant hybrid vehicle inventions. These inventions laid the foundation for developing a cost-effective vehicle that could improve fuel efficiency and reduce harmful emissions without sacrificing driving performance.

Paice’s inventions are protected by patents in the United States, Europe and Asia. The company was awarded its first patent in 1994 and has been awarded a total of 30 U.S. and foreign patents.

Griffith Hack, an Australian firm specializing in intellectual property, conducted an independent analysis of 58,000 hybrid vehicle patents in 2009-2010 and identified the 10 most important hybrid patents in the world. Paice patents ranked as most important, with three of the top four spots and four of the top 10 patents. That’s more than Toyota and Ford combined. View the Griffith Hack report.
